Green Slime Shop pays tribute to a very particular group, a group that could be called a cult group properly, The Slickee Boys.
Although they never did a proper extensive tour, only at the end of their career when they signed to New Rose, we have decided to make this T-shirt as a tribute to, for us, their best period from 1980 to 1983, especially when they released their second album, the magnificent “Cybernetic Dreams Of Pi”. For this, and for the first time, we have come up with two different designs. The first one with the design of the single “Here to Stay” that they used for the concerts as a distinctive element on the front and the logo of the band with the dates of the tour and oriental elements of the album Cybernetic Dreams on the back. The second model is a slightly modified version of a concert flyer with a taiko percussionist on the front and the same design as the other T-shirt on the back. On both t-shirts you can see the influence of Asian in general and manga in particular on The Slickee Bots at a time when it was not at all common to be a fan of Japanese comics.
