The Barracudas are an English rock band formed in late 1978.

This band is best known for their single “Summer fun”, with which they reached the top of the English charts. Although they started out with several surf rock inspired singles, they soon moved on to songs with psychedelic and garage flavours. The original band recorded a superb LP called Drop Out and soon after split up, although a few years later their main songwriters, Robin Wills and Jeremy Gluck got together to record a second album.
