Green Slime Shop presents its third t-shirt of the ONTOUR series, this time dedicated to the Manchester band New Order who, during 1981, faced a crucial moment in their career by abandoning the name Joy Division and releasing a memorable series of maxi singles and an album that, still in the shadow of Joy Division, gave small hints of what would be the band’s immediate future.

This time Green Slime Shop makes a variation on their ON TOUR t-shirt as you can choose between the European version of the tour and the American version. Each version matches the colour of the cover of their 1981 album Movement.

Limited edition 25 handnumbered copies only!

1981 was a pivotal year in the birth of New Order as a band, as re-founding a band with a new name from the ashes of a band, Joy Division, which was of great importance and influence on the sound and aesthetics of emerging bands around the world, was difficult. New Order during that year released material they had prepared for their previous incarnation such as Procession, Everything's gone Green, Ceremony and, by the middle of the year, the Movement LP. In addition, throughout the year they toured all over Europe until the end of the year they made the long awaited tour of the United States, a tour that had been cut short with Joy Division due to the untimely death of Ian Curtis.
