In Green Slime Shop we want to celebrate the first LP of a key band in the English music scene of the 80s, Television Perosnalities. For them we have chosen the iconic cover of their first album with a picture of the popular model Twiggy together with the main character of the Avengers series Patrick Macnee. The front of the T-shirt has been left exclusively for that image while the back is made up of the band’s name, the album title, the other member of The Avengers, Diana Rigg and the famous RAF tricolour cockade, also a symbol of the mods to whom TVP dedicated songs on their first albums.

Television Personalities were a key band in the evolution of independent music in the early 80s. They were the link between the post-punk of the late 80s and the indie popularised on the celebrated c-86 album that has established itself as a genre in its own right. They were also the ones who established part of the iconography of later bands, such as the cult of bands from the late 60s like The Creation or the way of expressing their music, that amateurism so typical of punk.
